  • Snow

Has anyone had any snow yet? It's very very windy here in East Anglia and we've had a few sleet/hail showers. The wind woke me up during the night and it was chucking it down with rain

Not in Leicester sun is shining we had a quick hail storm for about 1 min earlier.

I thought I'd wake up to snow this morning, but it's a glorious sunny day - however we have a fierce wind that is so bitterly cold - it's awful. I've hoping it keeps up and snows as well then I might not be able to get into Edinburgh tomorrow!!!

It's snowing now Rustylady, and it looks as if it's going to stick. Boo Hoo.

Have you had much more Alice? It's now early evening and we've had quite a few sleet and hail showers, but nothings settled.

Pleased to report Rustylady, no snow on the ground. It's just been blowing past on and off. Maybe it won't be as bad as the forecasters thought. I hope so. Some of my camelias and rhododendrons are in flower - hope we get no frost - and my potatoes in buckets, planted in January, are up into big shaws. I've got them covered up with fleece so here's hoping.
Hope everybody else's babies are OK.

Yup! Us too here in the Forest of Dean. Blue skies, sun, bitter wind, hailstorms, rain, and just now (9pm) I've just opened the conservatory door for the cat to go out for a wee, and couldn't believe my eyes. We've been 'snowed on' and it's settled. Bugger!.....

Oh, OK..... No, I don't think so Alice!
It's now 20 to midnight and it appears to be snowing again outside the conservatory door, on top of the snow beforehand.....!

Yep, we have got snow too! Not a lot and a bit wet, looks pretty though.

No Gardening today anyway because there is a solar eclipse somewhere.

Was on the plot yesterday, freezing cold wind howling - nearly knocked me over a couple of times. I was digging over some beds getting ready to plant my spuds and pegging out where evrything was going to be. Anyway, I persevered it until the hail started to hit me horizontally, I decided it would be a good idea to head on home - the sky was filled with cloud that looked a bit purposeful.

I'd not been home ten minutes and the sun came out!! Right chuffed off I was.

HeyWayne - the weather did exactly the same thing here in Preston as well. Did decide not to go down to the lottie as OH had just spent 4hours on a freezing golf course! Forecast snow here in the NorthWest tonight and tomorrow. Lets see. DDL
