  • And after the snow .....

    .... comes the floods.

Are we all prepared for this?

no! The river by my plot regularly overflows in the spring ...not been here when it has snowed more than just a sprinkling - it shouldnt come up as far as the cultivated bit tho with a bit of luck.....good luck to everyone else who has rivers close by!

      No!

The snow has melted significantly since this time yesterday when I dragged 2 bags of seed potatoes to the lottie as I didn't think the car would get up the road; and we walked it again today and half the ice has gone.

It's sort of half snowing and half raining; and no doubt the Trent will be back up to dangerously high levels across the road in a few days time

If the thaw is gradual we should be OK.
