    Hi,

    As you are aware i am a complete beginner i have cabbage carrots coliflower and broccoli (i cant spell) when is the best time to plant the seeds?now? samefor herbs

    Read the packet instructions for best advice. For those you have listed, I would wait until spring to plant them.

      Or keep reading the @What I did today thread' as other peeps post what they've sown/planted/cropped etc. I use it as a reminder of what I should be doing & when

          The packet is always a good place to start but apart from that I would strongly recommend "The vegetable expert" by Dr.D.G. Hessayon. It serves as an excellent reference book and will help you extend your growing season as well as providing you with invaluable knowledge on all kinds of vegetables.
          It has certainly helped me.
