When you have a good feel around for edible size potatoes and you find a few separated babies. What can you do with them? Also do you have to chit more potatoes if you want a gh crop for christmas?

What can you do with the separated ones...eat them.
Seed potato suppliers keep them in controlled conditions to stop chitting and then distribute them at the appropriate time...July/August to plant for a Christmas crop. I tried keeping some in the fridge but once they've broken dormancy all they want to do is grow. These were some I got from JBA in March but I had to put them in the ground a week or so ago and they've just popped their heads above the surface.
