  • What's up with my kale?

Just noticed one of my kale plants developing yellow patches on leaves. I know that lower leaves tend to yellow and die off, but this seems slightly different and is affecting leaves higher up. There also seem to be white patches on the underside of affected leaves.

That looks like cabbage whitefly to me.

Is there any chance of a clearer pic of the underside of the leaf? as its hard to make out whether it is eggs or a lack of nutrients, or maybe both

If you rub it does it rub off?

I would also say cabbage white fly. You need some sort of insectiside or the kale will be inedible. I've given up growing it as one year I sprayed with washing up liquid and that is what it tasted of!!!!!!!

Yep, white fly it is. I have got rid of the most affected leaves in the hope the rest won't suffer the same fate. Is that very likely? Just wondering whether I would be better off harvesting the good stuff asap?

                  Yes, it's very likely.
