  • very early peas

    Hi all.
1st jan every year i start off some early peas (feltham first) works for me in the greenhouse cloching over their final position always works and rewarding to be ahead of traditions
rather than loo roll inners root trainers with a tall cover are my go to method
To be 3 weeks ahead with peas is a welcome bonus and treat

For the last couple of years I've grown a quick crop of mangetout in the greenhouse to finish before the toms get planted. Sown at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb, works for me I've never thought to plant some earlies under cloches outside, might give that a try
