    Turks Turban Squash

    Hi Guys
    I have rcently bought a Turks Turban plant. When i bought the plant it looked quite healthy and strong . So i put it in the ground near my pumkin and courgettes. However for the last week or so i have seen the rate of its growth dramatically slow down and kinda stop. The bed that it is put in has had composted added to it aswell as rotting vegetation a meter half a meter down so i do not know what is wrong with it.
    P.s i was thinking of buying a butternaut sqaush but would they crosss poliinate and space is kinda tight.
    Can anyone give me clues.

    If the other squashes are ok then its not the ground they're in, so perhaps it was grown "under cover or inside" to increase its growth rate for sale and its not been hardened off to the outside world and is not a happy bunny?

    You don’t need to worry about cross pollination unless you’re seedsaving – you’ll still get the correct fruit!

      You only need to worry about cross pollination of squashes if you're going to save the seed, it won't affect the fruit. In any case, it'll cross pollinate with the courgettes and pumpkins that you've planted it with.

        I agree with the advice you've been given above. Another reason for the slowdown in the growth of your squash could be down to it putting down more root's, give it a while for it to establish it's self and it should come good...keep us posted on it's progress.
