  • Is it too late...?

I've grown cucumbers a couple of times in the past and this year I decided to grow some normal ones (ie male and female) and also some all female varieties......of course I've managed to mix up the labels and don't know which is which! Not so bothered about this apart from one thing - previously I've put them in the GH border once all my little seedlings are planted out and there is space for them........not quite at that stage yet but two of my cukes have cucumbers on them.....so on the one hand I am chuffed to bits...but on the other hand, I KNOW they arent in big enough pots for the rest of the growing season and i dont know if they can be repotted/planted into the border when they have fruits on them?

Does anyone have any advice for me please?

And also what type of feed should i be giving them as there seems to be a fair bit of conflicting advise....

    Many thanks folks

You can repot them whenever they need it, if they're already fruiting then you have to be rather careful that you don't knock the fruit off but this early in the season there is loads of time for them to make new - mine are only about 6" tall at the moment so have a long way to go. Re feed, I tend to feed mine with tomato food and seaweed fertiliser, no idea if this is right but it works for me and I'm usually giving them away during August.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
