  • Tomatoes - Cordon or Bush

I am growing Legend, Sungold and Harbinger for the first time this year but the packets don't tell me if they are cordon or bush and they have side shoots starting.

Would appreciate it if someone could tell me if I should be taking the side shoots off.

The consensus according to google is that Harbinger are cordon too.

Don't worry about it. I mistakenly have planted Gardener's Delight (tall growing) into hanging baskets set at approx 5' up. By the time they will have finished growing I think I will need a ladder. A lesson for next year I think!!!!

Sungold is a cordon tom and the side shoots do need to come out but Legend is a kind of bush variety so leave the side shoots. I grew Legend last year and they were the only toms that did not get blight. The packet says not to side shoot.
