  • Tomato Puzzle

My toms in the gh at home are looking very healthy, lovely green foliage and plenty of flowers but very little set fruit as yet.

But the ones at the plot in the tunnel are the sorriest looking tom plants I have ever had(magnesium deficiency according to the good Dr so I have treated them with epsom salts)... but they are giving me ripe toms.

They were all sown at roughly the same time and in the same medium (mpc) and are a mixture of bog standard toms and some heritage ones

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Plants that are struggling a bit tend to produce fruit earlier. I think it's because they feel threatened and need to reproduce.

          Hi
I am Keith and am having the same problem as you with no fruit to be seen but loads of leaves. Last year because it was a very poor summer my toms went black and were no use to anybody. I thought I would do better this year but summer was late starting. I would be grateful if anybody knows the reason though. Thanks.
