  • time to sow onions?

    Hi all,

I am thinking of sowing spring onions into modules tomorrow. And also onion sets into individual pots.

I was thinking of leaving them in the greenhouse (once germinated), but night time temperatures in there get down to 3 degrees C.

Whereas night time temperature in the conservatory goes down to approx 6 degrees C.

Is it best to put them in the conservatory until it warms up a bit? Or will this still be too cold for them?

    Thank you

    Mike

All mine go into the greenhouse [unheated] as soon as they show signs of greenery.

I sow onion and spring onion seeds in modules. These are germinated inside a polytunnel. When ready they are hardened off and planted out. Works for me.
