  • Three Cheese High tomatoes etc

    I've acquired some tomato seeds that are new to me.
    Has anyone grown them, please?

    "Dreikasehoch" = Three Cheese High
    "Father Frost"
    "Ruthje"
    "Peruvian Bush"

    I chose them from a seed list because I like the names - no other reason.

    That sounds german, VC. And I do that when picking horses to bet on - it's all in the names!

      The most I've found on Three Cheeses is that its a compact bush, similar growth to Tumbling Tom.
      I wonder what sort of cheese they piled up to equal a tomato plant?

        I think it's more of a slang word. IIRC It's what you'd call a child - similar to saying squirt or nipper (i.e. no taller than 3 stacked cheeses)

        So perhaps it's a patio tom?

                Need some cheese in the picture for height comparison.

                  Think Dairylea, TMTT.

                  I'm growing the other 3 in #1 too.

                  Father Frost is potato leaved so he's in another GH, in case he had his evil way with Ruthje behind a Peruvian Bush.

                  Hoping to save seeds of all of them for the Tomato Circle.
