  • Supermarket parsley plants

Hi, I was going to separate out a supermarket parsley pot into different pots, then wondered if I could just plant them out up at the allotment? I read that parsley is pretty hardy.. Has anyone had success with this or am I at completely the wrong end of the year to even try? I was thinking if I hardened them off I could just bung them in a bed and (hopefully) develop the giant parsley patch I yearn for! I've got some up there grown from seed but they're slooooow. Any advice gratefully received.. thanks!

They're usually sown very thickly in the pot so will need splitting into small clumps - then bung 'em in.
That's what I do anyway! I have some going to seed at the mo and I'm letting them get on with it - for my giant parsley patch!

Have split supermarket parsley loads of times.
I tease out individual plants and put them in 9cm pots and plant out once they've built up decent roots.
My parsley has never self seeded.
