  • stawberries to die for!!

the first of my strawberries (grown in the polytunnel), went down a treat with the family today. soft, sweet and oh so tasty! not like the red bullets passed off as strawberries that people by from supermarkets. must keep tabs on the runners, the more the better so that next season i will have hundreds instead of just a few handfuls. still worth the wait all the same.

Yay, well done that Grape there! Bet they were all dead impressed. What variety were they? Mine are all strawed down on the lottie, waiting for the fruit to swell and ripen - the odd tinge of red on a couple of them.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I went and bought 20 strawberry plants back in March, only to discover at least 30 wild plants in the garden, just awaiting the fruit to ripen before I indulge on them, allplants are fruiting very well.
