  • spinach (matador)

    whilst in lidl earlier today looking through there seeds i came across spinach (matador) a packet full of seeds for the miserly price of 29p i wasn't planning on growing spinach but at that price i will find somewhere for it to grow as anyone grown this variety before and how do you use it ? . i plan to use raw in salads and also in lamb and spinach curry

    I think its the same variety they sell every year. Its just spinach!!

      I've got a couple of packets of that as well, and like VC says its just a variety of spinach i use it mostly in aloo saag.
      Location....East Midlands.

        Think it might be an autumn sowing one, good for surviving the winter?
        Mine always got slugged so it never made it to winter!

          My spinach did well in the wet cool "summer" we got last year... I used it mainly as salad leaves and in an odd curry..
          I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
