  • Sowing Swede - Too Late?

Hi there. What with one thing or another and being very busy with other unforeseen things in our life, we have failed to sow our Swede seeds when your supposed to.

They are Swede (Brora) by Thompson & Morgan. The packet says to sow between mid May and late June. Obviously it's now 2nd August, so that's the question really, is it too late?

It says to sow thinly, direct into the soil in drills. I was going to put them straight into my raised bed direct originally and on time. If not too late, do you think I should sow in the greenhouse in trays and then plant out or direct and take the chance?

    Kind Regards.........Rob

Rob how the weathers been lately the seasons seems a bit mixed up so I'd take a chance and sow them, the packet says its contains 750 seeds so you'd have plenty left for next year. I sow most things into newspaper pots so I don't have gaps in my beds and larger plants stand a better chance against slugs.
    Location....East Midlands.
