All chopped up and in the pans now and will be in my belly tomorrow, so you'll just have to take my word for it!

PS If I got the camera out AGAIN and started photographing veg from the allotment I may finish up with a raw turkey slotted nicely over my head by OH like the poor guy below!

PPS Don't know whether I would have preferred it this way or other way round!

we've just had our family christmas dinner (everyone does their own thing on the day but all get together christmas eve.

We had homemade steak pie plus 12 vegetables. of which the following were from the lottie
Peas, carrots, leeks, parsnips, beetroot, red cabbage, butternut squash, runner Beans, sprouts

we then had a selection of puds one of which was raspberries from the lottie too

The whole meal was lovely but I was very chuffed with the amount of home grown produce we could have at Christmas

My pressie to the family is a bigger freezer in the sales!

pulled two parsnips for the xmas dinner, but they were only the size of carrots, pulled a third,it looked the same on top,but it was great,21ins long and really bulky,so,picking finished and back indoors to wrap myself around a brandy and red wine hot toddy, best wishes to one and all and a hopefully great growing year for everyone.....
