    Advice please my learned friends

I am looking at growing small pumkins next year and have been reading about Wee B Little, has anyone grown these or is there something better?

    Thank you

There are dozens of varieties of little ones, and they all taste pretty much the same* to me. Ones I always grow are Gold Nugget (a compact bush) & Red Kuri.

I grow Sugar Pie Pumpkins, come out around 2-3 kg (in skin), they are quite solid flesh and I do think they are tastier than typical pumpkins because they are more solid. They are not F1 so you can save seed. I have 100's of seeds, if you PM me I'll happily send you some seed. Mine came from Frosty Freckle (twice as I messed up seed collection in the first year!)

I really love Burgess Buttercup Squash mainly because you can eat them from the minute they are big enough. They will replace courgettes for me next year - once they are on line the courgettes are coming out! (Sorry I don't have any seed to share as I had enough for next year in the packet.)

PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!

I grew fireball pumpkins this year and so far they have not stored very well.

Jack be little pumpkins are great and store really well

I nearly missed this thread named after me
I grow small sugar, they are lovely and sweet IMO . They may grow a bit big for your needs. But they grow 2 to 3KG. Each plant produce a good number of pumpkins.

I'm going to grow munchkin pumpkins (from Sarah Raven) next year. Apparently they are prolific and really tastey!

Hi, marchogaeth, I'm reviving this thread as I'm thinking of growing Burgess buttercup squash this year. You obviously love them. When you say, "you can eat them from the minute they are big enough", how big is big enough in your view? Do you get many per plant?
