  • Runners & ????? - in the same bed

    Hi

I am running out of space on my small veg plot and i dug up some more garden for my runners, i have warmed the soil and it is lovely! Today i constructed my wigwam and i have some room left next to the runners, so my question is

"what can i grow in this space??"

I have some cauli's, brussels and more parsnips to plant out! can any of these go in?

    Thanks in advance

    SS :-)

Brussels are large and take up the ground for about 9 months.
If space is that short, you might be better to grow salads or something that is expensive or difficult to buy (chard is great, good food for you and the piggies)

they're great aren't they ... eating all the bits you don't, like the stalks and leaves. Mine won't touch the curds at all.

            Hiya Two Sheds

My piggies are only babies (16 weeks now) and they are loving all the stalks etc from Broc, Cauli, as well as sweetcon, spring greens, cabbage and cucumber.

I think I will either put squashes, next to my runners or a pumpkin, infact, i am gonna go and sow some pumpkin seeds now!!

            Thanks for your help
