    Hi All

My runner beans have just germinated in my heated propogator. When can I transplant these to pots in the garden?

    Thanks!

They need to come out the propagator but also need to be kept frost free so won't be OK in the garden for a while. That said, if they're in pots you can put out earlier and then bring back in if frost is forecast. Personally I've not sown mine yet as I don't want to put them out round here until mid May but it might be different wherever you are based, perhaps you could put your location in your profile as this will help with more specific advice.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Same here in the SE - It's a rare year that anything tender can go out before mid May .......

We seem to be in a sequence of cold Springs

If you've got a cold frame/blow away/greenhouse etc the plants could go out in the morning & bring them back in at 5pm-6pm (before it turns cold) then after a few weeks of hardening up,plant them out in the May sunshine.
