quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) is a cereal crop, with small white round grains, similar to rice or cous cous. Im not sure what the plants look like though, or how easy it is to grow?

Having eaten it I'm not going to grow it. It tastes worse than cardboard. I only finished the portion I'd cooked out of cussedness!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

if youv got a waitrose near you, they have a premixed one on the salad counter and its yummy. really goog source of protein too.Comment

I'd much rather eat millet. When both I and son were totally veg (I now eat fish for arthtitis reasons) we had a very varied grain and pulse diet. There's some really good stuff out there that people just don't eat.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
