  • Purple broccoli Santee

Anyone grown purple sprouting broccoli santee? Plant in spring and harvest that year from June to November. I planted seeds in March, the leaves are nice and large, but no curds forming yet.

Not a variety I've grown but I wouldn't worry too much, almost everything I'm growing currently is behind where I would usually expect it to be thanks to the crappy weather we're having.

Not heard of that one SS. I grow calabrese for autumn harvesting, it'll be my first year for PSB and they're only at the seedling stage because the first two lots of plants were eaten by snails. They must like it too, because it was the first thing to be chewed to stalks.

Certainly with my winter/spring PSB, I looked many times wondering where the curds were...
But then they just started appearing and didn't stop for ages...so I wouldn't worry yet!!
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
