  • Pumpkin Competition

I really appreciate that there are many serious growers on this site but I would like to draw your attention to other, less serious threads.

A few people have demonstrated their artistic skills by carving their home grown pumpkins and dressing up for Halloween.

I really think that this should be celebrated by everybody as we all know that versatility is an absolute essential when growing your own anything.

Please support other aspects of growing other than the fundamentals as it is these aspects that make this site GREAT.

p.s goto General Chat and look for the http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ion_91661.html so you can vote.

I agree more people should vote and encourage others to put their work/produce on display. However, there were only 31 votes on the Vine Virtual Show - so 28 votes for http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ion_91661.html is actually quite a good response.
Probably the same voters each time!

That is such a shame VC as many people are proud, and rightly so of the produce they have created.

In my opion ALL edibles and pretties should be celebrated.

How are we, as, the older generation of gardeners (and please forgive me but I use that term very lightly) supposed to encourage the next generation?

Maybe, some Grapes don't realise that by contributing to other threads outside the basic or fundamental ones they will find a whole new family willing to share with them.

Anonimity is a wonderful thing as it allows us all to laugh, cry and celebrate each others achievements.
