  • Powdery Mildew

Yes, I have this already on my squashes. They have only been watered by rain so there is no way I could prevent the leaves getting wet.
I have read this morning that a weekly spray with diluted milk keeps it at bay. Has anyone tried it or have other remedies? Please and thankyou...

Not heard about the milk one,but you must keep the soil moist and the plants well ventilated if covered,if not the only treatment I know of is to spray with carbendazim

That's bad luck Bren. I normally get it by July.

I've used it before with some success. Think 1-2 parts milk to 10 parts water is the recommended dose to apply to the leaves. The earlier you do it the more likely it will help. If PM is allowed to get seriously bad then it won't work.
