  • Plant ID Needed, please!

    These seedlings (just developing proper leaves) have materialised all over my Runner Bean bed.

    Last year there were Dwarf French beans in this bit of bed....

    Can anyone identify (from my poor photos!) I'm guessing they may be dwarf beans??

        You could dig a couple up and see what the root looks like - is there any sign of a baby bean?

          Don't look like beans to me. On one of them you can still see the seed husk. My guess would be squash of some sort.

            They look like some sort of squash seed. Have you been scooping out pumpkins, squash, melons and putting them in the compost? I get this sort of stuff all the time.

                  ooooh, yes, cucs, melons - how fab if that's what they are!!!

                    I think you need to let them develop a bit more then re-post some pictures. It is a bit difficult to tell from those.

                      Have you got any spare pots you could put them in. They are obviously happy germinating outside.

                            i guess are squash... put them in a pot with compost and let them grow... free plant and free veg as well...you never know maybe they will be the better squash that you ever had lol...
