  • Peppers and cucumbers problem

Two problems - every pepper on my one plant is rotten. Some kind of worm or larvae but I don't know what.

Two, my cucumber plant, having produced one 'cumber and the beginnings of others.....has stalled. The other baby cumbers are no bigger than they were two weeks ago and show no signs of getting bigger. Why!? And on another plant, the only cumber so far is like one of those long balloons before you've blown it all the way up. That is, it's nice and fat at the top bit by the plant.....but the rest of it hasn't developed yet!

Sounds like the cucumbers aren't being pollinated.

What variety is your cucumber? There are 2 sorts - all female, which don't need pollinating, and outdoor or Ridge cucumbers which do need pollinating. If you are growing a ridge cucumber indoors that could explain the problem.

I've had caterpillars in peppers before, but not sure what they are or how to get rid of them.

The fat cucumber is indoors, well, it's in a greenhouse with the door open. The other one is outside. No idea what variety, they are supermarket ones

What do you mean by "supermarket ones"?

Plants bought from supermarket, so don't know what variety. They seem to have started themselves off again! Perhaps they just needed rain....?
