  • Over wintering aubergines

I am trying to revive my summer aubergine, I have bought it in from the greenhouse. It looks really sorry for itself. Has anyone else over wintered aubergines before? I over - wintered chillis last year in our conservatory and had loads of chillis in the summer, its much easier than starting from seed. Unfortunately i forgot to bring them in from outsidebefore thefirst frosts this year. So have got to start again

I just cleaned my greenhouse and pruned the aubergines back and inside they were still green so I am hoping they will grow again this spring. when the weather warms up a bit, but just in case they dont I will be starting some off next month.

Yeah I had aubergines right through last summer until october, and as I started the plant early in february indoors under artificial light my plants eventually got to just under 5 foot and I had loads of aubergines. I know aubergines will self pollinate but just to be sure I rubbed every flower with my finger to make sure = bumper crop.
