    how many do you need or them to produce seeds?
    Religions die when they are proved to be true. Science is the record of dead religions.

    I haven't a clue if they're self fertile, but I do know they really attract bees, which would suggest probably not. If you're going to let them flower then I'd be tempted to allow as many to do it as possible because the flowers are lovely and they really do attract lots of pollinating insects to your garden.
    Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

      I believe each onion would put up a head containing lots of flowers, so it may be able to produce seed even if there is only one flowerhead? Someone who knows will be along soon??!
