  • Onion sets from last year

I've got a bag of onion sets (can't recall if they're spring, or autumn) hanging in my shed.

Last time I looked, they seemed ok - no shoots coming out, and not too wrinky.

Will they be ok to plant do you think, and should I plant them now.

    Nothing to lose I guess.

    Did I just answer myself?

Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

Why don't you put them in a seed tray with some compost in, see if they root and shoot?
Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.

try cell trays or small pots, that way you can get them a start under your control, the ones that grow can then be planted without loosing space on the lottie,i did this with some of mine, and will do so next year, here is a pic, they made lots of roots, and cought up with mt earler planted ones,
