  • One last thing

    Can anyone help last year i had a nightmare with my sproughts they all bolted no idea why they were well firmed in and limed.

    Some of mine did, and others didn't!
    Have a look at this- they're not sure why either!!

    I think the answer may be to try a different variety???

      Thanks will try putting some cover over them till it warms up, Allways use f1s so they should'nt bolt but will try again this year thanks again NICOS

        Do you mean they were blown? (the sprouts went sort of loose rather than like proper tight little sprouts).
        Bolting means they went to seed too soon.

          But then, it was a rum old year weather-wise. It mightn't have been something you did. Act of God as the insurance people say.

            yes they had blown did'nt let them seed dug them up and gave to chicks
