  • not ready to plant but...

    Hi all,

I have seen some plants such as rhubarb in packets with 1 crown in at reasonable prices in Wilcos, yes Wilcos again !!! I am not ready to plant out yet so how long will they keep for if I buy now ??

Does this apply to other plants supplied in this way and is this what is meant by bare rooted plants??

    Many thanks,

    Graham

A bare rooted plant is one not in a pot.
So yes, Wilko's rhubarb crown is bare-rooted. Pot it up and keep it in a coldframe or unheated greenhouse until you can get it in the ground.
