  • Munchen Bier?

    Now this sounds interesting!

In my never ending quest for obscure vegetables...........how about this one:- Suttons Seeds: Vegetable Seeds: Radish Munchen Bier Seed

    Anyone tried it?

PS I think it must be the green thing between the red and yellow pepper?

I have bought a packet of the seeds and I am going to try it out the next year. I understand it is Germen version of Chinese radish Mooli - which will produce white long root radish. If you leave them to bolt, seed pods have peppery taste, you can use them in salad, or dip them in beer if you are germen, hence the name.

You can use the pods in a stir fry, they have a lovely peppery taste.
