  • Munchen Bier question

Try to grow 1 new thing every year and next year it is Munchen Bier radish.
Question - How big do the bushes? grow e.g height and width? We do SFG and Planter growing and I have no idea where (as of yet, until a kind person tells me) I am going to put them.

These 'apparently' - unless I mis-read the description as the gin took effect look like sugar snap eas with accompanying foliage. Apparently you pick the pod for alads stir fries etc.

I've never grown them but isn't it a biggish radish that goes to seed and you eat the seed pods?

Ok so 20cm x 20 cm is a good size - Thank You 2 Sheds. I don't know about the root itself ( I like surprises) although the site I found did start showing photo's of very large stumpy parsnip looking things!

I have grown rat tail radish .. They grow about 4ft tall, have plenty of flowers and pods. But you need to pick them early.
Mine are like a bit like chilis . I don't think they're excessively hot though. Cooked they are like cabbage twists.

Probably have seeds if anyone wants some ..

                              It is the same thing.

If you are doing SFG I'd put them in the brassica bed, about 4 to each foot and stick a cane in each corner and tie twine round the canes at foot high intervals. That will hold the foliage up for you. You should be able to pick a few each day for a number of weeks, and it should continue growing more pods.

Can you tell I've seed saved radish before? They can be monsters.
