I found this and I wondered if anybody had grown it?
    If so was it tasty?
The seeds would cost me around £15 to ship from USA and Im not sure if its worth it?
    Sincerely
    Steve

I have never tried it....but I would say £15 for some seeds is not worth it especially as it's getting late in the season.

Why do you fancy this one? There are loads of different varieties available from the UK.

What varieties have you grown already? Which ones did you like best?

      This is worth a read.

Yeah not to worry I found some cheap on ebay, just had to play with search terms
I just liked the ad to be honest, makes me want to try it.
I only grow heirlooms as they are better in my mind
my favourite flavour so far was a Marmande grown organically with seaweed. Wish I had saved seeds from that plant.
I wonder if these are not so good as they seem to be almost forgotten now..
I know its late now but I don't mind one tom just to try the flavour

        Can you recommend any Heirlooms?
        Sincerely
        Steve

You're better off just picking up some pre-grown heirloom plants from a garden centre. The main ones should be readily available in most places, stuff like...

          - Black Russian
          - Brandywine
          - Purple Cherokee

But if you want a reliable crop in the English climate, I would look to get some plants of either...

          - Shirley F1
          - Sungold F1
          - Tumbling Tom.

I wouldn't muck around with seeds now, as by the time you get them delivered, germinated and above soil, it will already be mid May, possibly later. Which means you will be harvesting much later on, in September probably. Whereas pre-grown tomatoes will probably be ready to crop as early as July.

I would only start tomato seeds in May, to supplement my crop, if I already had other tomato plants available that had been started earlier.

          Regards

Is this the same tomato, or perhaps related ('Rozovyi' means 'pink')? https://tomatoeden.com/?78,mikado-rozovyi

Shipping from there would be much cheaper (€2.50).

I ordered some from Ukraine, changed some search terms and found 3 different versions to try for around £6 total posted
will try them and save seed if any good
obviously they will be late now.
              Thanks for input
              Sincerely
              Steve
