Careful or you'll end up with a good crop of wrecked hippies too - they're looking for somewhere to chillout after Glastonbury and your heap could be just the right place for a mellow come-down!
    Cheers

I don't reckon they will be Lynda, they normally only grow in late Sept/early Oct. Or that's how it was in my misspent youth

This particular variety of mushroom was our drug of choice for a few weeks in the Autumn throughout the early 80's, and one thing I know about them from many hours of picking, and extensive research on where to find them, is they grow on grassland, and the fruiting growth which appears above ground is very dependant on an undisturbed, and well watered fungal system below ground. Our favourite place for picking was a local cricket ground!

Erm, that's two things isn't it...

              Cheers, Mark

Local cemetery was our picking place !!
Did you know it is not illegal to pick them and eat them in their natural state but if you dry them, make a soup or tea from them etc - i.e alter their state from the natural, then possession is an offence.

Reminds me of a quote by the late, great Bill Hicks, "Doesn't making nature against the law seem... ummm... unnatural?". ;-)

excellent ....... lets hope the police don't come round then, cos if they spot the poppies and the mushrooms, they might get a bit too inquisitive about other things lol

Look on the bright side - they might arrest the spider...
