  • losing caterpillar battle

I have been squishing caterpillars non stop lately, and using soapy water, they are also covered with netting,

however my cabbages, sprouts etc. are getting heavily eating,

could they be beyond saving, or how can they be saved?

    Thanks in advance :-)

you need to look at them every day, plus what the butterflies can do is drop the eggs through the net, thats why peeps use the debri netting or the expensive fine veg mesh,as the criters will fold up their wings to get into other nets, also do not have the leaves touching the net, make sure you have not left a tiny gap anywhere around the bottom, you may be clearing them off,but have you looked under the leaves for the eggs, when the caterpillar first emerges, they are really tiny, thus they can easily be missed, hence keeps on checking.
