    long sweet peppers

    Hi can anyone help me with my peppers, The problem iso have six big pots of thriving sweet long peppers all doing fine except for one pot the peppers seem to go brown and soft and manky can i have some advise from this vast knowledge bank of lovely gardeners and allotment keepers.I would like to thank you all in advance
    ps the peppers cam from the supermarket last year and i saved the seed

      If it's a relatively pale brown and starts at the bottom then it's probably blossom end rot.
      The direct cause is calcium deficiency, but this deficiency is usually caused by erratic or insufficient watering, rather than the soil lacking calcium. It is slightly odd that it should only affect one plant, though.
      Otherwise, it could be that some manner of caterpillar is burrowing into the fruit, and then secondary infection is making them rot.

            Blossom end rot sounds most likely, but another possible culprit is sunscald, especially if you're growing them in a greenhouse. Have a look at the pictures here:

              I'd wager its blossom end rot too.

              As an aside, my Sweet Peppers are doing Brill this year..not sure what is helping them
              I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
