  • Leeks and Onions from seed

Both my leeks and onions have now come through having spent a couple of weeks on the heated propagator.

Can they go into an unheated Greenhouse now or do they have to stay indoors for a while?

    Imo
Pot them up singularly and keep in propagator. Still plenty of the cold stuff due Feb/March.
Feed the soil, not the plants.
    (helps if you have cluckies)

Forecast around me is that we are getting the tail end of the storm that's hitting New York today over the course of the next few days... i'm not sure that i'll be going outside, let alone putting poor defenceless seedlings out!

I know that there is a great urge to get sowing and planting at this time of year, but my old dad never stopped telling me that the worst winter they ever had in 1947 didnt start until february! This probably explains why i was born in 1948 due to them being snowed in for so long.
