  • Last yrs spring onions

    Are still on the decking in troughs, will they be OK as sp. onions ? Should I feed n leave , harvest ..or ?

    If they look like spring onion, then use as spring onions. Harvest if they look big enough, feed if they are too small.

    You could take a bite out of one and see if it is to your liking.

          When werethey sown? The ones I sown last autumn aren't quite yet so are fed comfreyevery now and then

              You can eat a spring onion at any stage - if its big enough to eat, eat it!
              Leave them too long and they will bolt.

                You can eat them from thin to thick,as long as they not bolting,i would start pulling them,and use them in other things,like omelets,scrambled egg,stire fry ext,cut one accross,just to see if it got a hard core developing,if so,it stared to bolt.
                sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these
