I picked a few leaves, enough for a meal whenever I wanted it.. It lasted ages

I love it drizzled with a bit of honey and then grilled - it goes crunchy. Yum!

I've eaten some but not much as I tend to prefer it over the winter when there isn't as much about. Tend to use mine either steamed or in stir fries. As far as how much to pick, it is much nicer if you eat it within a day or so of being picked so I tend to just take what I want when I want.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Have had a couple of feeds so far as mine has come earlier than planned too.Just pick sufficient at a time for a meal, choosing nice young growth and work your way up as it grows-it crops for ages-dont bother with older darker leaves as they will be tough and bitter. Enjoy!!

I'm doing a bit of an experiment with my curly kale. I've taken out the central strong shoot on half of them and eaten it.
I seem to remember I did the same experiment last year, in theory to force the plant to send up multiple nice tender side shoots?
Can't remember whether it worked or not though....................... so had to repeat the experiment this year!

Mine, like all the bras are covered in clouds of whitefly - it's off putting when you inhale them while trying to weed. I'm going down with the hoover at the weekend.

Been eating mine for a couple of weeks, but most of it is covered in whitefly. Hoping this cold will kill them off 'cos they've engulfed everything at the mo.
