    Default Jerusalem Artichokes

I remember someone a while ago looking for recipes for artichokes. How about this one based on the ideas of John Seymour

    Ingredients:
    I field
    Lots of artichokes
    1 pig
    Lots of apples
    Some sugar
    Method:
1/ Plant the artichokes evenly over the field and allow to mature.
2/ Add the pig to the field
3/ When the artichokes are fully incorporated into the pig and the field is fully turned over and fertilized, take the apples and cook with the sugar to make a sauce
4/ Kill and eat the pig with the sauce and grow something tastier than artichokes in the field.

Just thought of something.........I remember Piglet posting a recipe for artichokes once. It involved putting artichokes in a pan, covering with water, putting a brick on top to keep them submerged. When artichokes become soft strain of the water, chuck away the artichokes and eat the brick!

It sounded better the way Piglet told it!

Given the gas production properties of artichokes you may have to stop the pig floating away! Perhaps if you connected it to the gas main you could save a few bob on the gas bill??
