I'm really worried we've not had rain since Easter and it's all getting a bit tense!

My 18 inch tall Ailsa Craig tomatoes are about to burst into flower and my 15 inch tall Cherry toms aren't that far behind .

Tonnes of rain here today after an immense lightening storm last night, of monsoon proportions .

My autumn calabrese has started flowering before I've had a chance to eat any. Autumn sown onions all bolting and even one or two of my spring sown ones. Still I've got loads of chillies(first time I've grown) and the tomatoes are looking good.

The sudden cold snap hit hard and got me plus all the far older wiser bods down the allotment - we all lost our French beans besides other crops. Weirdly all the toms in the unheated greenhouse made it except one, right in the middle that was frosted to a stump, a bermuda triangle of a frost pocket???

The kiwi was in full sprout when the frost came and is looking very sad but still alive (just) but other fruit bushes are doing better than ever before - go figure!
