  • Insects on my veggies?

Lately, espically today after checking through my plants (marrows, pumpkins, tomatos in pots) there seems to be like 1 or 2 white insects on every single plants, they have small legs like a fly, any idea what they are? Are they dangerous to my plants? How do i get rid of them?

Also when transplanting my pumpkins into larger pots I saw them deep inside my pots.

Here is a image of it, you may want to save it in a zoom in to see it a little better!

Hmmm - whitefly do you think? Annoying but harmless?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

They look like shed aphid skins. They leave them all over, they look alive unless you look closely.

That's what I reckon they are. If they don't move when you touch them, they aren't whitefly.

I have lots of little white skins in my chilli pots - and loads of greenfly underneath the leaves. Came from nowhere they did

My first response was whitefly but you only see whitefly on the underside of of leaves so I would go along with aphid skins. If it is whitefly you need to act quickly to get rid as they multiply faster than aphids and can be a serious problem if you allow them to get out of hand.
