  • How soon can I replant my seedlings?

I want to free up space in my propagator, so would like to plant out my current seedlings and replace the space with new seeds. However none of my seedlings have a true leaf yet - they just have seed leaves - some have had the seed leaves for about a week now. Will they die if try to transplant them outdoors now? The seedlings are radish, radicchio, kohl rabi and spring onion.

    Are they in pots?
I'd say its too soon to transplant them but they don't need to be in a propagator. You could move them into a sheltered place outdoors, just watch that they don't dry out - or get waterlogged.

Pretty much anything should be fine outdoors now Benny... very small seedlings tend to get massacred by slugs, snails, wind and rain if planted in the ground though - could you put them somewhere sheltered outside to grow on a bit before transplanting them to the ground?
