  • Help with my last remaining pumpkin

OK so some of you might already know i lost 6 pumpkin seeds due to high winds and possibly cats and creepy crawlies.

My last remaining pumpkin is hanging in there like a real trouper. Its got a well developed female flower which opened earlier today and one male flower which hasn't yet opened.

The female flower has a good little pumpkin growing which is promising, but as we don't have bees here do i still need to pollinate the female with the male or does it sound like it doesn't need it?

you still need to pollinate, if there are no bees to do it, just to make certain..... otherwise the fruit wont grow.

you don't need to wait for the male flower to open, just pick it off, peel back the petals and stick it into the female flower
