Help on green peppers

    Help on green peppers

    I was given 4 pepper plants back in the spring.. 2 of them have many small green peppers on and are in my greenhouse. The peppers are no more than an inch long, dark green and shiney.
    My question is: Do i leave them in the unheated greenouse, pick em now, or bring the plants in the house for the winter and hope they will produce a fair crop of reasonable size fruits?
    I have never grown peppers before.

    Do you mean chillies?

    Bring them into a warm sunny place to ripen (they might, they might not)

    They will drop their leaves anyway, but may survive to regrow next spring. Check out the overwinter chilli thread

      I was told they were capsicums, and that is what the tiny fruits look like.
      I have just run between the rain drops to bring one of the plants in the house and took some shots.
      Maybe you can identify it.




      I will bring them in and put them in the back bedroom window

        It is difficult to tell with chillies, a lot of them looked the same. In any case, it looks great.

          Not sure if this helps arpoet but I have peppers both in the GH & in the house. Since bringing the ones in the house, they have started ripening so bringing them inside looks the answer as TS mentioned.

            Many thanks ppl. I will bring the 2 with fruits on inside and see what happens and leave the others down the greenhouse.
