Am growing garlic which I planted last autumn. Most is in the raised beds but also got some in pots in the unheated greenhouse. Has been growing well but noticed some green mould(?) on the top of some pots. Have been careful not to overwater and the soil feels damp but not sodden. Is this something i should worry about?

Its too wet. Scrape the green stuff off and top it up with vermiculite or some dry compost.
That's what I'd do anyway - may not be right!! -
I get that too - I just pick it off, it usually comes up in one satisfying lump. Then I roughen the surface of the underlying compost to encourage it to dry out a bit.He-Pep!Comment

Moss is usually an indicator of poor drainage. This usually happens with 100% compost because it doesn't have enough 'air filled porosity' to begin with or loses its structure over time. It's why I generally add something like perlite or sharp sand to potting mix, to increase the porosity.Comment

Thanks for the advice. It doesn’t feel like a solid lump but will scrape off and add some vermiculite to the top. Don’t want to disturb them Will try to reduce the amount of watering I give them too. Really appreciate the steer.Comment

That looks like algae - definitely too wet then. We need some sunshine don't we?
