  • Fennel. Tips for success?

I have a module tray of fennel which has germinated but gone very leggy in the sunny windowsill.

Should it go leggy? Or should I start again? Are modules a good option orcshould it be sown directly?

    Any help appreciated.......

    Cheers Roy

fennel the bulb or fennel the herb? The bulb is not to be sown until after the longest day as they form bulbs due to the shortening day.

I was hoping the seeds produce the bulbs. Not sure now?! The packet says sow may June. The seeds look like the culinary fennel seeds. I got then from marshals. Is there a difference in the seeds for the herb and the bulb?

      Cheers

Sounds like you did the same as me & brought Sweet Fennel seed instead of Florence Fennel seed,
