  • Dwarf Borlotti

I really fancy growing some borlotti beans this year for the first time and I know I can get a dwarf variety, but can someone tell me how tall "dwarf" grow please?

There are some in the VSP Flo if you want them
I have some Borlotti di Vigevano from Franchi and the packet says 50-60cms tall.

I've grown them two years running, and won't bother again. They got to 12" high, max, and had 4 pods per plant, max.

There are other dwarf beans that are FAR more giving, and of course, tall pole borlottis

I'm having a go, granny Flo. Not yet, but I will. I want to see if they survive the plot. And to see of I pretty bean pots. Premise that Ma curry them.

I've got both dwarf and climbing Flo if you decide to. Coming up to Hodsock this weekend some time.
