Had all manner of life crisis last summer/autumn and as a result totally neglected my allotment. I'm ready to get back down there now but wonder what if anything I shouldd o about the potatoes I never dug up. Will they have rotted? Can I leave them to regrow this year? Or do I bite the bullet and try to dig up whatever is still there?? Thanks!

I'd dig them up, they'll grow all over the place, if you just leave them to regrow, and may have blight which they'll spread all over the plots. -
Depends. We had no blight on our plots at all last year, so if yours was the same blight may or may not be a consideration.
I’d personally leave them in and see what happens. If the foliage looks blighty once it starts growing then you could always dig them up. I’m of the VC school of thought that everything deserves a chance to live and grow. Personally despite my best efforts I always manage to miss one or two of the previous years crop and let them grow and harvest them and not had any issues so far.Comment

I'd leave them in too, or dig them up and space them out better. Either way, they'll regrow

I'd dig up whatever you need to cook and then leave some in the groundCarrie

Dig them up, harvest the big ones and replant the smaller ones.
Preferably in a different spot along with some manure/potato fertiliser so you get a decent crop.Comment
